Police arrest 32-year-old man in Rotterdam at request of French authorities for alleged ‘involvement in planning a terror attack’


THE HAGUE, Netherlands. (AP) — Dutch prosecutors: Police arrest terror suspect in Rotterdam at request of French authorities.

A Frenchman has been arrested by Dutch police at the request of French authorities who suspect him of “involvement in planning a terror attack”, prosecutors in The Netherlands have said.

The 32-year-old, whose identity has not been released, was arrested in the port city of Rotterdam.

Prosecutors said in a statement on Sunday that French officials requested the arrest on Friday after the suspect emerged during an investigation.

The suspect is expected to be extradited to France in the immediate future.
